Specification: 
ZnSe material is a polycrystalline material transparent yellow crystalline particle size of about 70μm, tr…ansparency range 0.5-15μm. 
By the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method for the synthesis of non-existent impurities absorption, scattering loss is very low. 
Because of 10.6μm wavelength of light absorption is very small , thus becoming the selected material in production of high -power CO2 laser optics system.
It is commonly used in various optical system.
ZnSe material has highly thermal-shock ressistant, making it the best optical material in high-power CO2 laser system .
Its hardness grade is just 2/3 of the ZnS multispectral, the material is relatively soft and easy to produce scratches, also has great refractive rate, so it is necessary plating on the surface with high hardness antireflection coating to protect it and to get a higher transmittance rate. 
The scattering of light is low. When used as material for high-power laser devices, need to strictly control material absorption and internal structural defects , and using the polishing technology with minimal- damage and the highest-level quality of coating process.
