Desoldering the unit with only 3 poles will be much easier than replacing the 14
pin joystick assembly
[Rheostats 10K ohm] – The trim potentiometer resistor is OEM repair parts
– the same model as the controller. The original replacement part is to ensure

some de-soldering materials such as an electronics soldering iron and a small
gauge soldering iron. Use a pair of pliers to separate the problem sensor from
the toggle component. A metal pick helps to hollow out the holes in the PCB.
Re-soldering the new unit is a breeze. Just remember to use the flux and keep
the tip of the iron steady
